Tierra Estella wine

Tierra Estella is the most western wine region of the Navarra DO, and is composed of 26 municipalities, covering a total of 4,000 hectares of vineyard. It has a dry sub-humid climate, with average annual temperatures of 12 degrees.

The north of Tierra Estella is dominated by calcareous soils of marine origin, while the south represents a transition area towards Ribera Alta, with loamy soils set on consolidated material.

Tierra Estella produces red and rosé wines, mainly, but also some white wines. The cultivated varieties are predominantly Grenache and Tempranillo, but they also cultivate Graciano, Viura and Mazuela. The blend of these varieties results in a wonderful broth, with red colors ranging from ruby red to garnet red, very balanced, peaty and with moderately high alcohol content which may reach 14º.
